Make Space Studios, a hub of creativity and innovation nestled in the heart of London, is excited to announce its upcoming Open Studio Event 23rd – 25 November. We invite art enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and the public at large to experience the magic of art and creativity like never before at our Newnham Terrace location, London SE1 7DR.

This special event will be held on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offering a unique opportunity for everyone to explore the incredible works of our talented resident artists. Best of all, admission is completely FREE!

Make Space Studios is home to a diverse community of artists, each with their own unique style and artistic vision. Our Open Studio Event is a celebration of this diversity, showcasing the creative prowess of these remarkable artists. Visitors can expect to be captivated by a wide range of artistic expressions, from painting and sculpture to digital art and more.

To give you a taste of what you can expect, here are a few profiles of some of the featured artists:

  1. LAC is a mixed media artist working on abstract landscapes informed by multiple geographical origins and infused with feelings of joy as well  nostalgia.
  2. Esra Kizir Gokcen gets inspiration from the self, society and nature with influences of eastern miniature art and calligraphy. Spontaneity is her way of emphasising the randomness of life. Esra uses water based media in her paintings and intaglio techniques in her prints. Uses multiple layers to create depth and emphasise the details. Esra’s latest works are mostly related to migration, globalisation and spirituality.
  3. Isabelle Brodeur – From the artist: ‘I discovered a passion for art at a very young age. I have exhibited in Montreal, London, and Hong Kong. I was born in Montreal, Canada, and studies in Visual Arts. I am also a mom, a teacher and a painter. My first exhibition took place in 1996. I use abstract so I can remind myself to always look at things from a different angle. Travelling has always been a great source of inspiration for me. All my projects have been connected in one way or another through my travels and experience’

Our Open Studio Event is not just about observing art; it’s an opportunity to interact with the artists themselves. You can engage in conversations, learn about their creative process, and even purchase artwork that speaks to you. Whether you’re a seasoned art collector or someone who’s just beginning to explore the world of art, this event has something for everyone.

Make Space Studios is committed to creating a welcoming environment for art lovers of all ages. We believe that art has the power to inspire, connect, and transform, and we can’t wait to share that magic with you.

Don’t miss out on this exceptional art experience! Mark your calendars for Make Space Studios’ Open Studio Event from November 23rd to November 25th. We look forward to welcoming you to our creative haven at Newnham Terrace, London SE1 7DR.

This is a newly created space at Make Space Studios and is completely unique to the site. Enjoy the privacy of a large, fenced, grassy courtyard that provides access to the studios front door. The internal space is 7.6m x 6m (46m sq) or 25ft x 19.6ft (490ft sq) and has a dividing wall running down the middle and a half wall on one side, creating three distinct areas – one floor is timber, the other carpeted. There are three large windows and a private grassed courtyard outside.
It is £1100pcm all inclusive. Please contact info@makespacestudios.com if you would like to arrange a viewing or are interested in any additional information.
